Every DepEd employee exudes the “Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Maka-Kalikasan at Maka-Bansa core values of the organization which help them meet their clients’ needs. To communicate the core values of “Maka-Diyos and Maka-Tao”, SDO-Kalinga initiated a 30-day Virtual Prayer Rally (VPR) to strengthen our spiritual and mental wellness during this pandemic. This activity was launched during the celebration of the 33rd Founding Anniversary of DepEd-CAR on May 5, 2021. The launching was successful despite the challenges brought by the use of gadgets, Internet connectivity and adaptation. The culmination of the said activity will be on June 16, 2021. This is open to all SDO-Kalinga Personnel from the Division to school level even in the respective homes of our learners. The VPR is being conducted Monday to Friday from 3:00-3:30PM only.
Pursuant to Division Memorandum Order No. 170 s.2021, SDO-Kalinga encourages all its workforce and learners to participate in the VPR and urges to spend a few moments in prayer. Guidelines are given for this purpose. SDO-Kalinga believes that regardless of the amount of time spent the fervent prayer of each employee is critical to reach out the following: 1.) SDO-Kalinga learners, teaching personnel, non-teaching personnel, and immediate family members who are being infected by COVID-19 virus, 2.) SDO-Kalinga teaching personnel, non-teaching personnel and their immediate family members who are frontliners.
The said activity is initiated as part of instilling the DepEd core values to the minds and hearts of all DepEd employees and learners. Moreover, SDO-Kalinga believes that every single prayer counts. Prayer boosts the morale of those who are infected. It pulls peace out of confusion and brings joy in the midst of loneliness and sorrow.
Let us continue to support this engagement and fervently pray for the success of this prayer rally for the glory of God. Mabuhay ang SDO-Kalinga.
